The Family Center is located in the beautiful neighborhood of West Mt. Airy in Philadelphia, just two blocks from Lincoln Drive and one block from the Carpenter Lane train station. Since 1995, we have been offering psychotherapy services for children, teens, and adults (as individuals or in couples). The Family Center is also a postgraduate training center for practicing therapists who continue their education here with studies in Mindfulness Based Play-Family Therapy, Mindfulness Based Sandtray Therapy, and Contextual Family Therapy. We also provide supervision, both in person and online, for therapists who are practicing in these fields.
"The person who came up with the idea for iLOC is a genius! I don't feel like I missed out on anything, in fact I felt like I was more a part of the class as my comments and questions were all 'heard'."
-- Melissa from North Carolina
"I liked the fact that I was able to attend from my home, hundreds of miles away. It really makes it feel like I am actually 'there'. Best money I've spent in awhile."
-- Shannon from Missouri
"Everything about the center was warm and nurturing. Thanks to Luke and Eileen as well as Dottie and Jerry for creating that security needed for a positive learning environment."
-- Susan from Pennsylvania/Florida
"Dottie's wealth of knowledge and experience, combined with her engaging teaching style, made the class extremely positive and helpful. I learned so much in a short amount of time. I look forward to the next sandtray course!"
-- Susan from Pennsylvania/Florida
"Geez! The best, most professional online presentation I have experienced... Felt like I was there! What a polished, interactive experience. Luke [the technician] is 'the bomb' !"
-- Kelly from Hawaii
