'Hosting a Colleague' Program
We often have therapists who train at the Family and Play Therapy Center in Philadelphia and who welcome colleagues from out of town to stay in their homes for a nominal fee of $30 per evening. (...includes a simple breakfast as we also have muffins or bagels at each event.)
The Family Center takes responsibility to connect the two therapists and you arrange details together. Many therapists live near a train line which you can get from the airport to 30th Street (the central Amtrak station). Hosts can also supply you with driving directions to their home. They may also be attending the seminar and you can go together or they will give you directions from their home to the center.
The hosts live between 5 minutes and 45 minutes away from the training center, which is located 15 minutes from Center City in a lovely residential neighborhood. We hope this will offer a way for therapists from out of town to be welcomed by a colleague and to be able to stay for a reasonable cost. Networking and forming community has been an important part of the trainings at the FPT Center and this program expands networking to a broader level. For more information, call 215-844-4321 ext.1
